Country star George Canyon has a new CD that he released last November. Canyon comes to Port Hawkesbury next month fresh off an ECMA Award win for his music video, Saddle Up. Canyon’s new CD is called Classics II and it was produced by Canyon and Jay Buettner. It features cover versions of many of Canyon’s favourite country music classics including a duet of Pancho and Lefty with Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy. Canyon toured in support of the new disc in Ontario and western Canada in November and December and has now embarked on an Atlantic Canadian tour which will see him perform two nights in Port Hawkesbury at the SAERC Auditorium on April 13th and April 14th (a second show has recently been added).
